Good Earth’s New Store
Good Earth’s new store, located at 720 Center Boulevard in Fairfax, opened on Wednesday, Feb 15th. New store hours are 8am to 9pm everyday.
Good Earth first opened the doors at 123 Bolinas Avenue in 1969 and stayed 31 years “across from the Redwoods”, before moving to 1966 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in May of 2000.
The new store is a complete overhaul, re-development and aesthetic transformation of the dilapidated former Albertsons’ site. At 22,164 sf, it’s close to triple the size of 1966 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Our new store is sustainable with daylighting (placement of windows allowing natural day light to provide effective lighting), energy efficient LED lighting, double roof insulation to conserve energy, deep green Marin Clean Energy, reverse osmosis water purification, a greywater system, native landscaping, bioswales (to remove pollution and limit storm water runoff), solar heated hot water (with more solar plans in the works) and live green wall coming soon.
Incredibly, almost every surface in the entire building has been replaced-warm, natural materials of high quality such as reclaimed wood, granite, hemp countertops, stone, and artistic concrete.
