With USDA’s deregulation of genetically modified alfalfa, our organic community has become divided. We must remain unified!

Good Earth has supported Organic Consumers Association (OCA) in the past but their recent accusations are unfounded and disruptive to our efforts. The companies that OCA named actually fought for protection against contamination for organic farmers once it was determined that USDA was indeed going to rule for deregulation of GMO alfalfa. Their attempts were valiant and in no way were these companies culpable for USDA’s ruling.

A boycott of any of the companies targeted by OCA would further the mission of Monsanto by undermining the alliance of organic retailers, organic producers, not to mention organic farmers. Please stay loyal and supportive of organics for the sake of all of us.
